Guest Speaker will be Vicki Preddy, Registered Nurse Educator with Vanda Pharmaceuticals. Her role is to raise awareness and offer education about Non- 24, a short name for Non-24 Hour Sleep Wake Disorder. Non-24 is a rare condition that appears when someone’s internal body clock is not operating in alignment with the 24-hour external world clock that most people like to live by, resulting in severe disturbances in someone’s sleep and wake patterns. It’s a disorder that occurs with high frequency in people with total blindness, but it can affect those with low vision as well. During this educational program you will learn why Non-24 happens and how to access additional resources available from Vanda at no cost.
