Friends of GLS is an association of persons who provide support for and advocate on behalf of the Georgia Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (GLS). The annual membership dues have been essential in bringing the community together for events, like the Friends Luncheon, Bingo, and the GLS Holiday Variety Show, as well as providing support for the GLS Summer Reading Program. Members are welcome to share ideas and input on helping our community connect and grow through fun and informative programming.
Annual Membership dues are $10 per individual. Please download and complete the Friends application. Applications and payment may be mailed to or brought in person to the GLS Library.
The Friends Board members serve a 1-3 year term and currently meet monthly via teleconference or conference call with library staff for 1 to 2 hours to discuss the needs of the library and provide support in developing services and programs for the reading impaired community.
