Books and More
GLS patrons have access to more than 100,000 books and magazines in accessible formats such as audio, braille, and large print. We also offer international language titles, music materials, and audio described movies.
Through our partnerships with the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled, the Georgia Public Library Service, PINES, and Bookshare, GLS is able to provide patrons with a variety of books, magazines, and other accessible materials.
Programs
GLS offers virtual and in-person programs and opportunities for GLS patrons to engage with others to talk about books, for peer support and to learn about resources and services for people with blindness, low vision, or other print disabilities. Regular programs include peer-support group meetings, book clubs, and technology classes. We also routinely offer programs such as bingo, summer reading, and poetry slams.
