Library Programs for the Blind and Print Disabled
GLS offers virtual and in-person programs and opportunities for GLS patrons throughout the state of Georgia to engage with others to talk about books, for peer support and to learn about resources and services for people with blindness, low vision, or other print disabilities. Regular programs include peer support group meetings, book clubs, and technology classes. We also schedule special events throughout the year, including bingo, poetry slams, talent shows, and more.
Summer reading programs are a big part of every public library, and GLS organizes an annual schedule of summer reading activities for our patrons of all ages. Check the GLS Summer Reading Program page for a summary of past programs, as well as updates (when available) on what is coming up.
The 2024 GLS Winter Reading Program has ended. Find out what GLS Winter Reading Program 2024 was all about.
